Our History
The Marshall Area Men's Chorus is made up of singers from 10 Southwest Minnesota communities. For 32 years, the Men's Chorus has been providing fine music and entertainment to the communities in the Marshall area.
Our Purpose
Recognizing the power of music, our purpose is not only to entertain the many people who come to our performances, but also to enhance the lives of those of us who perform. We are dedicated to excellence in the art of men's choral singing, but we also promote the sociability and good fellowship among the members of our group. We have fun!
Our Activities
The Chorus maintains an active schedule of public performances which include a Christmas Concert series and a Spring Dinner Concert Series. These concerts are performed in Marshall as well as many other surrounding communities. In addition to these events, the Chorus performs at many community events, churches, and community centers in the area
A highlight of the year is the annual Big Sing in April. This weekend event is held in conjunction with the Associated Male Choruses of America. The Big Sing is held at the location of one of the fifteen participating men's choruses in the Associated Male Choruses of the Upper Midwest.
